hi guys,
I have a complete Orange C5 setup (time when Celestron SCTs were still made in USA) for urgent sale to fund my new
toys~ package comprise of a (Orange tube) C5 OTA by celestron, tube rings, the
orginal 4X24 finder, 2 eyepieces 17mm and 5mm. orginal diganol.
manfotto 410gearhead on a 055 tripod. homemade badder solar filters and
also a newly bought vixen red dot finder which i had no time to
fabricate a mount for.. so if you are interested you cound custom make
a adaptor to use it on the C5. basically its everything u need to start
your observation anywhere anytime. its a pretty portable setup i would
say. well, looking at $900sgd for the complete setup. price is
negotiable interested party could drop me a mail at

questions and it is also possible to meet up anytime at nite this week
in the west if u need to see the scope. I actually had to sell it by
the end of this week latest by early next week. the new toy supplier is
bugging me~

ps: other then the usual cosmetic scratches on the finder scope, the OTA is optically and cosmetically perfect, still having its buttery smooth focuser.

For those who havent seen the setup before, i managed to find a photo of mr Ming Zhi posing with my scope. cant find the rest of the photos already..
also like to provide the last update for this thread, currently until this comming wednesday 7/6/05, i'll be letting go of the set at $750.
after that the setup is still for sale but back to the orginal price i posted here last august. $750sgd for the OTA set with eps and solar filters and a vixen 1Xfinder tuberings and finder, and $250 for the 055 tripod with 410 head.
only selling the tripod set after the OTA has been sold.

i tried your scope at SP and liked it alot.
but you took too long to put it up for sale and I have already bought another C5. $750 is a pretty good deal considering the stuff you are throwing in.

ps. I'm interested in your solar filter and 055 tripod though (if they are in good condition)...do let me know if you are selling them separately.
