FS: Celestron C8 OTA

Post by Justin »

Hi,

I am selling the C8 OTA that i have bought from Mr Wucheeyiun in October. Selling price at $1000/-. This includes a 6x30mm finder and 1.25" visual back.

Here's the link http://www.singastro.org/viewtopic.php?t=2655http://www.singastro.org/viewtopic.php?t=2655 to see the OTA.

Reason for selling is that i prefer the wide angle view from a refractor with 2" eyepieces.

Private Mail to me if you are interested. Looking for a quick sale to finance a larger premium refractor.

Thanks.
Regards,
Justin

Hi justin,
Have you tried to you 2" superwide ep's, i find it qute sharp and clear and wide ie if you use gso 50mm superview, you will get 40x which is great for DSO too.

You can ask Ariefm71 on what focal reducer he get last time which he use on his C8... his C8 beome around F5 and with a 2" eyepiece... the view is just impressive.

Have a nice day.

Denkmeier 2" Starsweeper f/5 reducer. Btw the max fov you'll get with a C8 is around 1.7 degree, you'll get some vignetting if you go higher. I think only two M objects are more than 1 degree (M31 and M45).

Make that four... M24, M31, M33 and M45.

Have a nice day.
