Hi,
There was a documentary on this in discovery channel sometime ago. According to the documentary, the North and South pole will actually swap position and this had been happening every 250,000 years and the last time that this happened was almost 1 million years ago... so it'll soon happen again, but not in our life time. One of the scientist in the show, put the model of earth core in the super computer for simulation and one day he found out that the magnetic pole had swap in the model!!!

Anyway, according to the show, during the process of magnetic pole flip (which last for hundred of years), the strength of the magnetic field that protecting us will start to decline (which is currently happening) and the North and South pole will start to "wondering" all over earth before the magnetic pole actually flip.

Have a nice day.

Hmm... is that the reason that contributes to the increase in natural calamities, and eventually leads to the end of the world?

Hi,
Hmm... is that the reason that contributes to the increase in natural calamities,
No, I think the major cause of all these natural calamities is gobal warming... at least at the moment.
and eventually leads to the end of the world?
No... I don't think it'll be the end of the world. End of human domination... may be yes, may be no... depend on how serious the decline of the magnetic field strength and how advanced our technology will be... may be we'll be able to create a magnetic field to protect us.

Anyway, remember that all these don't happen over night... the event will last a few centuries or even longer.

Have a nice day.
