Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
Hi all,
There is a Batu Layar (Malaysia) expedition being
planned on this coming 31st December 2005 to 2nd
January 2006 (Saturday to Monday).
It will be a 3D2N expedition (since Monday is a public
holiday as well). Cost of expedition will be based on
transport costs only (SGD$30 per person) as it will be
purely camping. There are bathroom facilities
available on site and a small cafeteria where we could
obtain our meals from if you are not cooking there
(although you could, but please count me in so I can
have some as well ;P). Do bring along some ringgit as
well for meal costs and showering (1 ringgit per
shower). It will be advised to bring tents (can
coordinate and pool tents). We will meet one hour
before noon at Changi Village (food center) and be
back around the same time on Monday. The location is
11km 'before' Desaru and is a splendid place to view
Orion and the milkyway once weather permits.
Anyone for champagne? ;P
Best Regards,
Remus

I would love to go but I'm overseas during that time... :k-sad:
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]
I will be going. Hope the skies are good. During the daytime, I will be giving free lessons in some basic Ninja-do self defense, it will be a good way to help pass the time. =)
Best regards,
Junwei
I miss the place where stars shine bright, to gaze upwards in awe of the sight
