I was tempted to get this scope for fun sometime back before I bought my own ETX90RA back from Chung Hooi. It resembled a Lomo Astele series
except its a Newtonian. At that price range, one cannot expect too much. Its pretty obvious such a mount is next to useless due to the excessive overhang and without any support. I intended to get suitable tube rings and mount it on a Manfrotto 410 head + 190 tripod. But the tube rings would have added S$100 to the price of the scope which is valued at US$79-US$99. With shipping, the cost of the package would only be around S$250 at most, so this chap asking for S$500 would be very very disappointed, granted he probably bought this around that price in Lucky Plaza?? At the end of the day, its a small 76mm aperture with a large secondary obstruction! Also, it uses the less popular .96 inch format.
If you want total mobility (for that short trip to Ubin) , make an offer to this guy, not more than $250 (maybe even lower). Else go for the ETX90RA instead, Cheaper, more aperture and superb optics.
