Eta Aquarids

Post by soulfrost »

er. yes. i'm back again.

anyway here's the deal:
i checked out some not-so-accurate-but-wanna-believe page and they claimed 6 may is where the eta aquarids are most radiant. so .. hm. will it coincide with the full moon?
where in singapore is it dark enough?
where do i look in the sky?

so sorry if i'm troubling you guys!

Shucks! Was thinking of viewing this tonight/tomorrow morning.. but look at the sky!

Anyone interested in a 3am gathering to talk shop and view the eta aquarids if the sky is clear?

HEY! me too! i was thinking of actually bringing along a small group to one of those beaches in singapore, and hoping that the sky wouldn't be too bad.... -.-'

but.. my prediction is:
There will still be a half moon even if theres no cloud/clear sky.

Moonset is at 1.04 am. So there should be no problem if there are no clouds!

I will contact you to confirm.

Cheers!

Clear Skies but you were not there! :)
Anyway, had an eventful mini-ob tonight. re-discovered all the southern sky objects with the 20x80. The objects that looked beautiful last year with 12x50s just got so much prettier!! :)
