Hi.. Just got a scope Orion 127 Mak from the lelong sale. I am looking for thumb screw size: 1/4" to secure the scope to the tube ring. Went to peninsular (cathey and the rest of the shopes there) but could not find any spare parts.
Which shop do you guys go and find spare parts or anyone has spares to sell?

Do you intend to use the tube rings and thumbscrews like a six-point support found in some finderscopes like this?

Why not attach it to a dove tail bar using something like this?

No offense but before you get screws from Yong Seng, make sure they don't tarnish...had bad experiences with them. you could also try the several Vin Mart stores in our country.

If you are using the 6-screw attachment, ask for polycarbonate or nylon screws to prevent damage to the OTA finish.
You can also consider further protection by slipping a couple of 'helmet bands' (remember your NS days?) first and then using the screws to tighten on the bands instead of the OTA directly.
If you still decide to use metal screws, use stainless steel ones and not the metal ones, which will rust.
