Hope the sky in Mersing for those going up this/next weeked will be ultra clear!

woah! I like to composure with the coconut trees, really gives depth and a sense of perspective to the whole picture!

Hi Boothee,

It's not a composite. The clouds were lit up by some lightning in the distance; that's why it looks like that.

wow chris, looks just like Mersing down to the bald coconut tree...
is that bright dot at the correct location really omega centauri ?
and the favourite eta carina appears to be visible!
I can just make out the jewel box too....

Impressive! This almost looks like a snapshot out of a movie! An ingenious use of the lightning as a form of background lighting too! Simply an exquisite work of art! Two thumbs up for you Chris! :)
