Hi Vernonfarmer39,

I also have other setups for Calcium-K and other image scale captures: https://www.epj-conferences.org/article ... _01002.pdf

8 Oct 21, A survey in Calcium-K wavelength. AR2882 started as a stable Active Region, after discharging a few C-Class flares this week has evolved into a restless AR with 'beta-gamma' magnetic field with energy for M-Class flares.
This is an image from Solar Dynamic Observatory: Image

This image was taken with my Celestron C-11 SCT, coloured in Photoshop:

24Oct21. Used a 76mm refractor to capture the full disk of the Sun in H-Alpha wavelength. More sunspots are appearing. It should be an interesting week ahead.

Nice prominences on the limbs.

Hi superiorstream,
Glad to see you are till going strong! For me, no sunspots is good...haha. Good for our infrastructure and satellites. But like it or not, the cycle will come and you can observe all you want then. :)

26Oct. Tracking AR2887, it is the one to observe as it harbours beta-gamma magnetic field capable of M-Class flares.

The magnificent magnetic structures around the spots give us a clue on energy it harbours.

What do you think about these images? Are they over-processed?

21Nov - The solar disk was relatively quiet. Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) showed 1 sunspot
