I have here 10 brand new 5mw green laser pointers (Class IIIa 5mW - 532nm wavelength) with case and box. These are of MUCH better built and quality than those that I 'showed off' at the Physics Olympiad. You'll feel it when you hold in your hand. Attached photo here is self taken. I'm selling locally for only S$95.00. (BRAND NEW) Email me if you are interested. (I think other places at least S$160) - No batteries included as this is really a rock bottom price.
Can test before buying. Either at NUS / Paya Lebar or Orchard.
Contact me at 92715102 or email me at
u0305807@nus.edu.sg (Weichang) for self collection.
While stocks last.
- Update 18/9/06. Just received a new batch of 30. Taking orders again now!
- Update 4/9/06 Currently Out of stock. But do email me so that I know who to call when the new shipment comes. New shipment will come in less than 2 weeks from today.

Thank you Chris for your kind review!
Just an update. The lasers haven been very popular and I'm left with 2 currently. I'll contact those who have emailed me over the weekend. I'll be bringing in more in the next few weeks, can I have a show of hands roughly how many of you guys are interested?
Just email me if you are interested or post here. I'm posting up a few more images to wet the appetite.

Good laser pointer... I already own one of another brand, but this additional laser pointer which I just bought from spica42 (Weichang) definitely has a better feel.
The metal button of the microswitch operates well (the one on my other laser pointer tends to get stucked because its rubber button deforms when pressed and thereafter slips under the switch opening of the pointer body).
Centrally-located battery compartment enables quick and easy access with firm grip (unlike my other pointer which has a thin hard-to-grip cap to access the battery compartment at one end).
I wonder in which country it is manufactured or designed? Good ergonomics and quality control. I can see that it is fast rising in popularity among SingAstro members. It's value-for-money stuff... do bring in more to benefit the community!

I think a lot of green laser pointers are made in Taiwan or China. Anyway, when using laser pointers, we have to be careful not to shine at cars or people or airplanes or anything reflective as it is blinding. It is not a toy and it attracts a lot of attention. There was a case in USA when this guy 'painted' the laser at an aircraft landing and he was fined big time.

Yes, use it with care else we will miss it just like chewing gum.
