WTB: C5 dewshield

Post by Canopus Lim »

Anyone want to sell your C5 dewshield? I am looking for a usable one for my C5. Do not need to be tip top condition as long it can work.
PM me if you have one to let go. Thanks.

I think McGill is having a sale on their AstroZap dewshields, you can check with Robin. Let me know if you are looking to DIY.

I don't mind DIY if I can find a durable plastic/foam that can bend and is dull black colour; I have yet to find such a plastic. I have flocking paper for the internal. Any suggestions for such a material?

Kydex! But the commercial ones are more durable in the long run.

Dew Shield

Post by kochu »

Hi ,

I made dew shield for my scopes using fibre sheet ,1 or 1.5 mm thick.
But it was not purchased from Singapore. But I think it should be available here also.

I think I will just buy it as it is a lot of hassle to make one and to sew the velcro. Also, I have made one before and it could not last. Thanks for looking at the post. :)
