Selling: Sky Atlas 2000.0 2nd Edition Deluxe Version
This is THE standard against which all other star atlases are measured! It is a 'must-have' reference and field guide for every Deep Sky Observer!
This 2nd edition of the Sky Atlas 2000.0 by Wil Tirion contains 26 charts covering the whole sky and showing 81,312 single, multiple, and variable stars up to magnitude 8.5 and 2,700 deep-sky objects. It includes close-up charts of such areas as the celestial poles and the Virgo-Coma galaxy region, as well as an acetate coordinate-grid overlay for determining accurate celestial positions.
In this Deluxe Version, the stars are black on white background, while deep-sky objects are color-coded by type (nebulae, open clusters, globular clusters, galaxies) for easy identification. It has fold out charts in a 12 by 16 inch book (charts unfold to 21 by 16 inches), spiralbound with a tough weatherproof cover.
It is in a very good condition. A brand new one would cost you $60 USD (more than $100 including shipping). Take mine for only $60 SGD. Call or PM me if you are interested.
My reason for selling? I already have the Herald-Bobroff Astroatlas, and also there is a DSC coming in....
Thanks for reading!
