Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Telescope mirror

Post by ChaosKnight »

Anyone knows where can i get a telescope mirror, similar to those used in a newtonian? Or are any local vendors bringing in?

Looking for something around 4.5" to 6".
Focal length about 500-600mm.
thanks.

Hi,

I believe Sam (Harlequin Astro) is dealing in some ATM stuff. However, most of the 6" mirrors are F5 i.e. focal length of about 750mm. If you get a faster mirror, the coma will be more pronounced, and the useable FOV will suffer, unless you use some other accessory to reduce the coma e.g. Televue's paracorr or the Baader coma corrector.
