Hi
Do you have prove that you paid $450 for this bino? I am afraid that from the looks of it, the bino is only worth S$50 or less. This thread has been locked unless seller can submit proof via PM.
Buyers be warned.

The buyer is adamant that he paid about $450 for the featured bino. However , I am pretty sure that he has been ripped off, and that the bino is worth a fraction of this price (at least when used for astronomical purposes). If anyone can show otherwise, please post the relevant information here. Thanks.

Btw i bought from SNG Arms , not the best store to buy binoculars , but the price is about there, bought for abt $700 but i checked the price online at that time when this FuturaLE line was in stock and it was correct.
Sorry for the confusion, but i'm not trying to pull a fast one here , i'm willing to accept lower quotes.

The more experienced among us know what NOT to buy for our hobby... but it's good for beginners to know what they will be paying for too.acc wrote:Thanks for the understanding.wucheeyiun wrote:thanks cc for the price policing....Didn't want to sound harsh to a new member (maybe I could have phrased my post more gently; I am sorry if I caused any offense) but I just felt the price is a bit too out of line...

The wise advice urging beginners to join a local astronomy group before committing any purchase is time-tested. I'm glad I joined Singastro before buying my 1st telescope. I was lucky to have bought 2 acceptable-quality binos (below SGD200 each) because I was with birding and nature groups. These 2 binos have served me well in astronomy obs.
sorry to hear that...
Beware of some common trick some vendor. Sometime, a vendor will set the price for some item way too high for a reason.... it can be they don have stock, they don want to deal with some party or use as comparison (eg. 3 quote for gov purchases). You will pay extra money for same item if you are careless.
so... one must compare a few major websites or source before order any astro equipment. Singastro "Buy and Sell" is a safe site, but don use the price in Singastro as guide line. Most people here give crazy discount when selling stuff.
