Hi Yangchen
I sold one recently.
Its a good scope. Check out the "new" price at
www.mcgill.com.sg so you can adjust for a more successful sale. Also, you may also want to consider quoting individual prices for the barlow and diagonal and then specify a "bundled" price.
good luck.

Hello Richard,
Many thanks for the valuable advice. I might have been stuck forever with it if you didn't alert me. Was surprised at the price. Being a newcomer to astro I hadn't realised I was being considerably overcharged when I bought it (and the thing was on 'promotion' some more). Here are the revised prices:
Telescope with prism: $700
Plossl eyepiece (not sure the price and the brand/model is not stated although it's multicoated; it came 'free' with the telescope; this price is an estimate): $75
Celestron Ultima 2x Barlow: $100
Or total package for $850.
Hope this telescope will find an owner who makes better use of it than sitting in the dry cabinet.
regards,
Yangchen

No problem..

we roughly know where you bought it from. prices are a little high back then we you bought it but their prices has since come down somewhat although never as low as our vendors here due to rental and staff overheads. Your bundled price is ok now although I suspect the people here having already been spoilt by the 12" portaball and 10" teleports are all gunning for aperture (check equipment database on who the culprits are!).
I sold mine to another member here but he is using it more for birding. last I heard his wife has hijacked it, right alvin?

It's a good scope, no doubt... I should have known better than to use it for looking at birds and bees... believe me, I'm into innocent nature... heheh. For $600, it was reasonably affordable to lose that sweet little beauty to the 'hijacker' ;)

Ok guys, before we go off-topic any further, please ensure that the next post is directly related to the sale of this fine scope. Reference here on the reasons for tighter moderating of our Buy & Sell forum:

Thanks admin/mod for tugging us back on topic.
Yangchen, I am interested in the 45deg correct-image erecting prism (if that's what I thought it is). How much would you offer to sell it... if you are able to split the OTA and prism for the sale?
Also, what is the focal length of the plossl eyepiece? Any picture of it? I am buying plossl eyepieces for bino-viewing and I need a matching one (brand, focal length, FOV, etc) for my existing eyepieces. Thanks.

Hi Alvin and others,
you can see the photos of the prism and Plossl lens (25mm) at:
http://sps.nus.edu.sg/~linyangc/plossl.jpg
http://sps.nus.edu.sg/~linyangc/prism.jpg
There is no other inscription on the Plossl lens. If I have mis-estimated the price of the Plossl lens, I will be grateful for references to any source that will help me set a more appropriate price. I can sell the prism separately at $75, in which case the telescope alone will go for $625.
regards,
Yangchen
