Wanna make a scope? Or better still, grind a mirror yourself. Or, you have some good tips in making a really useful accessory? This is the place to show what your hands can do...
I received this 12.5" f/5 today (s/n: Mag1-12.5-078). Fresh new coating from Nova (steve dodds).
The stats say:
Relative Transverse Aberration .32
Peak to Valley Wavefront 1/ 23.5
Wavefront RMS 1/ 63
Strehl Ratio .990
it looks like a pretty decent mirror to me
Sorry for the quality of the pics, taken from my hp.

[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]
If you hang it on the ceiling, you can admire yourself while in bed and keep dust from settling on the mirror at the same time.. two birds with one stone!
We do it in the dark...
