what's your budget...maybe you can buy a new one instead?
around $100 can get you a reasonably good pair...but best would be around $180 for the Minolta Activa.

Hm.. can i ask in what ways is the Activa better than others? is it tried-and-tested better, or just reviews? or where can i get such reviews?

I think Airconvent is using a Minolta Activa :) ..... been reading some books on Telescope too, and Minolta's binoculars is also highly regarded.

which one??
anyway, the activa is a weather proof high quality Bak4 prism bino.
The images that I see through it are amongst the best I have ever seen in the price range and perhaps even better than some of the more expensive ones as well. Images are razor sharp all the way to the edge of FOV...
