Good price for a serious 8" scope.

All is required is a bit of modification to convert it into a dob.

The weight of this Newtonian is around 7kg-9kg, so you'll need slightly a heavier duty mount.

If you are looking for an Equatorial mount, you'll need at least an Orion SVP for visual use. Cost will depend on where you get it... may be you can try to put a "WTB" here.

If you are look for an Alt-Az mount, the cheapest you can find that can take the weight should be the AstroSlew mount from denebman. Do a search in the forum for more info or you can put a "WTB" here.

Or if you are good in DIY, you can make a dobsonian base for it.

Have a nice day.

Hi,
I decided to sell this scope as I expect to use my other scope more often and had no "safe" place to store this scope for long period of time.

Also, I'll include a new GSO 2" Crayford Low Profile 2 Speed Focuser and a used Orion 2" Extension tube as an option (see first post) for those who interested. I just got it recently and already install on the scope, but the recent weather prevent me from using the scope... so the focuser is still consider new. :)

Thanks for looking and have a nice day.

Hi,
Spring cleaning coming soon, so the pressure to sell the underutilize Celestron 8" F5 Newtonian had started to build-up... :(

So I now open to any offer for the OTA + tube-ring + dovetail bar, so post your offer here.

Please note I reserve the rights not to sell and who to sell (even it's not the highest offer)... just in case the price is too low and the pressure didn't build-up as expected.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day.
