Finderscope Trouble

Hi all
I have a RACI (Smart astronomy) fitted onto my Megrez 90. When i first got it, it was a breeze to use. I find a nice star in my Megrez, look into the finderscope and turn the two thumbscrews to align the crosshair. Easy.
But increasingly, i am finding it more difficult to use the thumbscrews to align the crosshairs. Its like the star is in the upper right corner of finderscope. But i have turned the thumbscrews to the max and i cant get the star to 'move' closer to the cross hair.
I took the finderscope out of the bracket and tried to push it around to get the star closer to the centre but cannot leh. I havent dropped the finderscope at all. what am i doing not right?![confused [smilie=confused.gif]](./images/smilies/confused.gif)
