CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Jupiter 120708UT

Hi guys!

Managed to bag Jupiter last night when it was quite clear (although with numerous swift passing cumulus). This was taken as a joint effort with Kelvin (catalysm). He helped to assist in nailing the focus. Seeing was above average during this instance, but appeared to vary quite often throughout the imaging session. This particular image was the better ones of the lot. Europa can be seen at left of the Jovian disk.

Ha ha how nice to take some credits for this picture, where in reality I was only using my eye power. [smilie=relax.gif]

Eye power shouldn't be underestimated at all times.
