Hi,

The lightbridge and the SkyQuest are good choices. Some points of note:

1) Learn to be very skilful at collimation, especially the lightbridge.
2) Learn to find your way around the sky skilfully since these are non-goto (push-to) stuff
3) Check their weight and length to make sure you are comfortable to carry them around.

Hope these helps.

Hi,

I would suggest the 8" Orion dob if you are able to carry it. It is not that heavy just bulky. Also, one needs to learn how to collimate the scope well to achieve its best performance. The optics are good for the price and the scope is very easy to setup..just plug it onto the rocker box and you are all set. <5min job if your scope is already properly collimated.

I would suggest buying a goods trolley for it.. to push it around. Also, note that one cannot 'hand carry' the scope if taking public transport. It is too large.
