hi, can y guys give me advice about what type of telescope for a beginner like me to buy. I've been interested in astrology for a very long time and been thinking about buying a telescope.

You can browse around singastro website and see the forums for more help especially the beginner forums there is many questions and answers over there you need to know. You can borrow books from library and read up more.
Maybe you can start out by getting a binoculars and then maybe a telescope of your choice after your research.

i do have a 10X50 binoculars

Thats a very good start. You can choose your telescope now, but you must consider various factors, like, space available in your house, singapore sky viewing conditions, portability, your interest in astronomy,what do you want to see in the sky, and of course lastly is your Budget.
