wow...$900 for a full 80mm setup...
not that expensive now...looks like Astro science is serious about taking back some customers.

of course cannot compare with our local vendors here but an achievement for one that owns shop space....

I remember last year when their 60mm entry scope with alti-azimuth (not equatorial!) was listed as "only" $1300....as mentioned in the Straits Times during Mars fever..

Actually, it is $1000 for a full 80mm setup when it is in "promotion". In normal price which 99% of their items are is still are astromonical pricing ;). Partially due to, i think, the fact this model is obsolated.

But it seems like they are still selling the Celestron Silvertop Plossls at S$180 each. :)

Can't really blame them, they monopolised the market here ;) LOL ... Obsolated items can still sell so expensive ;) ..... even new ones don't cost this much :). A New Celestron top end Ultima Series eyepiece only cost US$81 or $140, coupled with at most $30 Transport charges, you will almost be paying $170 for it only :).....

But seriously, u can't blame cruz for putting up his 2 yr old scope at $500, his cost price is high, since I think he got it from Astro Singapore at Science Centre.
