Pulau Semakau Observation Trip?

Post by seantm »

Greetings all,

i am wondering about he next trip to Pulau Semakau for observational astronomy?

I heard there was a trip being planned and that I could find out about here on the forum --I 'd like to know:

what dates the next trip are planed for?
how long is the trip --two night three days --more, less?
where do we meet up to go on the trip?
what equipment should I bring?
what are the costs involved?

TIA for all responses --cheers ---Sean

Hi,
Pula Semakau astronomy observation trip is organize by TASOS (The Astronomical Society of Singapore) not by SingAstro forum. You need to check with TASOS President Albert Lim, but I'm not sure whether the trip is open to public or just for their members. Also, I think the trip is only an overnight observation trip as there is no accommodation there.

Anyway, if you are interested, you can also join the 3 days 2 nights Astronomy observation trip to Punggai in Malaysia during March organize by remus. See this link:

By the way, Welcome to SingAstro!! :)

Have a nice day.
