Hi Carole. That's a good idea. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I will be in JB. Btw, did you receive my email? :)

Sorry. This is not quite related to the topic, but if you are able to read the paragraph below, then you will probably conclude that correct spellings are not all that important!

Olny srmat poelpe can raed this.
I cdnuolt blveiee that I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd what I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid, aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in what oredr the ltteers in a word are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is that the first and last ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can still raed it wouthit a porbelm. This is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the word as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt! If you can raed this psas it on !!

I think it's should be quite obvious when the Moon is in Earth's umbra.

Anyway, hope Singapore Anti-Astronomical event weather system will not strike again. [smilie=dong.gif]

Hope weather will be good and have a nice day.

Hi,All
Pray that the weather will be good but no good news.3 Cak of active regions had roll into the visible side of the sun today and solar activities always affect and cause bad weather, rain etc.Lets pray that it spare us those 5 hours needed to look at the eclipse!

Considering that the mid eclipse will occur just after moon rise, will the moon be in view from the science centre while it is just above the eastern horizon? (I understand moon rise will be at 7.10pm and mid eclipse will be at 7.38 pm).
