Hi,
I'm looking (quite urgently) for a 0.965"-1.25" adapter. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know soon. Will save me the trouble of having to get and wait for one from Surplus Shed.
Thanks for looking.

The pair I ordered from Surplus Shed arrived today, but I realized that they were not meant for use in 2"- 1.25" adapters of 1.25" diagonals .... Fortunately the damage was only S$15.
Can someone recommend a place to get one that will work ? I'm needing one very urgently - must get it in time for the Mersing trip on 21st. Thanks !

I don't understand why the surplus shed ones did not work. Do you want to use 1.25" EPs in a 0.96"diagonal or a 0.96" EP in a 1.25" diagonal?

I want to be able to use my 0.965" eyepiece with my 2"-1.25" adapter and 1.25" diagonal.
I think the Surplus Shed adapter does not work in the 'usual' way we may think - it has these female threads on the underside, and I think it's meant to be
threaded over the end of a (threaded) 1.25" focuser , meaning that ultimately, you either have to view straight through the scope with the 0.965" eyepiece itself or use put a 0.965" diagonal through it for right angle viewing :? .
Here are some pictures. I've put the adapter w/0.965" eyepiece next to a 1.25" eyepiece. One look and you can tell there's no way the adapter is going to fit into 1.25" focusers, 1.25" diagonals or 2"- 1.25" adapters.

I guess you have 2 options:
1. Go to a machinist to get it done. (may not make it in time though)
2. Take a 35mm film canister, cut off the base and cut a hole on the lid to fit the smaller eyepiece. May not be the prettiest, but it will probably work. To make a better fit, try to put some stiff foam around the 0.965" barrel within the film canister. Use 1 canister for each EP you have so you need not switch around.

Ok, thanks for the tips. But maybe I ought to check with Astro Sci on price and availability first thing tomorrow, because fom their website, it seems like they do sell such adapters (by Vixen).

Ok, managed to get one from Astro Sci. A bit pricey ( ~ S$50), but at least I have it in time for our Mersing trip next week
