as a matter a fact, i find it too bulky and skies r never gd nowadaes
and my scope's sitting there and rotting
i'm contemplating giving up astro for time being...maybe until i work and got more money to finance my spendings

i'm still thinking if i should sell my c5 and c8 awae
i hope i'm not a disappointment to all with hopes of me being active for life

Hi Shoelevy,
long time no see. U should not give up all those great equipments just bcos it is too bulky. Yes u should sell away the c8 and mount the c5 on a manfrotto tripod. It is lighter and portable. No point buying so many fine instrument and giving up after spending so much money. :idea: :wink: :lol:

You don't need to go outside to observe, why don't you set up your C8 and CG5 mount permanently in your balcony?

hm....cos by doing that the scope is exposed to weathering elements ?
i keep it in the dry cabinet to keep it from free effects of moisture u see
so i guess mounting it permanently isn't an option
besides...my balcony?....see nothing of the sky
