Update Your Equipment details!

Seems like the equipment database is stuck at 5 entries! Will appreciate if everyone update their equipment at the Equipment Database topic!

Hi,

I suggest that a table be created for equipment.
Suppose that 50 members add one topic each with the description of their equipment, it will become difficult to consult.
What do you think ?

that would certainly be neater.. We could also use an approach similar to photo.net where the members can update their equipment in their profile management page.. members can then update their equipment details together with their profiles.

But I would prefer a table based approach..

yea, i think it will be better too, but then, more coding work for webmasters!

... they are doing such an excellent job with this site, I am sure they are already thinking about it and are halway done.

anyway, the format should look like the yahoogroups database equipment list...there are 46 entries there! so quite alot of people have not updated theirs here.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will check with the guys doing the actual work (Yong Quan and Wei Cong; I am juz a lurker here) if they are able to get an equipment list up and running

Hm... if you like i can offer my programming experience too

Talking about that, I think since this is php script there's one way to do it, very fast and easy. On our profile we add a line "Scope:______" like we do "Location: _____", and that's our database, no need for a special table. And every time we see the person talk we can see his details of the scope!

Example:

Scope: ***
