Kimo

I'm using the Celestron CG-4 with RA motor.

Since my scope is the Astrotech AT66ED, with Canon EOS 1000D attached, its less than 3kg with the Mount capacity of 9kg.

It's amazing what a clear night can produce, even if it's only 20 x 30sec frames (or 10 minutes)

My proudest Eta Carinae so far (although I still seem to get quite a bit of flare off the right, which I had to crop off

Revisiting NGC 5128. Only captured it once about 1 year ago (thanks Gary for identifying it as the Hamburger Galaxy!)
I found it rewarding to compare the differences :D

Finally bought the Orion 5123 1.25" Eyepiece Extension Tube and managed to achieve focus on my Afocal setup!

Cos it's only an AT66ED, didn't expect much, but am happy with this first result!

Hello Saturn :) (289 frames stacked from ISO3200 video on EOS 70D)

Hi Sivakis
Those white spots and white lines coming from craters are actually impact dust that arise from
the impact of these meteor that give rise to the
crater....the most prominent being the crater tycho.
My two cents.

Thanks Remus and Chia

Nope, not hot pixels. I wasn't tracking so the moon in my shots were moving across the frame.

Anyway, here's a 100% crop of an unprocessed single shot:

They were also visible through the eyepiece almost like bright lights.

I think Chia is right, tiny craters. This image I googled seem to show that:

Thanks, mystery solved :P
