For Sale : Celestron 19mm Axiom (1.25") eyepiece

Post by VinSnr »

Hi,

I am selling the above eyepiece in great condition. Comes with top caps, bottom caps, wingguard and box.

This eyepiece is very sharp to the edge of the 70 degrees FOV. One of my favourites, but I want to upgrade to the Pentax XL, so this must go.

New cost about US$149 excluding shipping, I will just sell you at SGD$150 firm

Cheers

Curious on why you wanted to change to the pentax xl. Did you check out the Antares W70 19mm? I'm thinking of upgrading my 19 panoptic to a 20 XW and was hoping the W70 would be a cheaper alternative. Actually nothing wrong with panoptic just a bit of an upgrade itch... heh.

I believe the 19mm Antares W70 is a very good eyepiece. But I like the pentax XL because it looks huge......and I have this fetish for huge eyepieces....

So I am now selling away all the small eyepieces and replacing them with big ones...

Hi Vin & Elton... Wat about I sell Vin my 21mm XL, buy Elton's 19mm Panoptic, so Elton can go buy a 20mm Pentax XW. Sounds
like a fun game of musical chairs.

Checked out the 21 XL last night.... gorgeous FOV right in your face. Prefer the eyecups on the panoptic though. Can confirm after returning from japan following week ok? I wanna hold the 20XW before deciding on buying it ...hehe

Okie, lets see what goodies you bring back from Japan then. We could have a mega review of the 20XW vs 21XL vs 19Panoptic vs 19Siebert vs 19mm Axiom! 8)

If you are bringing a camera, maybe you can ask the store owner to help take a pic of you 'posing' with the XW 20 ? Then you can post it here when you return :) :D  8)

ok, i bought the XW, lets start the musical chairs ...
looks very much like the XL but with much better (tighter) eyecups of screw-on design and a wider field.

It's said to be waterproof too...did you get the shop owner to demo that feature while you were there

Ok seriously now, is it much heavier than the XL21 ?
