Prawn Nebula in Scorpius (HA)

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Prawn Nebula in Scorpius (HA)

Post by rcj »

Hey guys,

Tonight's been clear despite the presence of the almost full moon. Took advantage of the clear sky time to capture some photons from Prawn Nebula (IC4628) in Scorpius. This is also the first time I am using the EL Panel to facilitate in flat-fielding in order to make this HA image possible (more discussion of the Panel here).

Image Details:
5" Refractor
4x20min through HA filter
