I would be happy to invite my school astro club down too, but the timing is a little odd for us to bring our telescopes there (ie. cannot return the scopes back to the school at 11+pm...)

At around 7+, i was near the city area and could still see those 2 planets. And from where i was viewing (ie. family's car, heading home), the city acted as a foreground with the two planets above the skyscrapers. Beautiful picture u can take from there, but i had no camera with me :(

Well i reached home quite late, so the two planets were already quite low. I quickly set up my camera outside my house, and without any high ground, i had to deal with the street lights...

Hmm... apparently that's not so from my place... sky looks good. Took a few shots, but the street lights around my place sort of ruin the pictures. Will look through later...

Extremely cheap prices for extremely unknown made-in-china brands.
Good thing about night markets is that you can bargain down to 80% of the price easily.
