Actually its not that pricey anymore. You can get a good basic transmitter and pre-assembled plane with LiPo battery, charger all set up for under US$300. (I think really entry level stuff for under 150 can be had, brand new of course) You do need someone who knows these things to make sure all the ...

Don't be discouraged by negative commenters! Besides, if he could afford the HST then he wouldn't be at the event! ;)
I couldn't make it but its wonderful to "meet" people willing to volunteer their time and energy for public benefit.

Wondering if the LP is better at Sedil compared to Punggai. I see some streemtlamps in the google earth pics of Sedili...

Great shots!
A question from a newbie: How does it work? :) When you attach a camera to the telescope, are you imaging at the Baby Q's focal length of 450mm (ie 9x mag) or is the power increased by some other eyepieces/magnifier? Thanks for the advice!

Chris: You're right, and I wished I knew about stacking when I went to NZ. I'm into photograph...

The stars are really nice :) The ghost moon is really a secret CIA satellite base...... *grin* Since its inverted, I'm guessing its either a reflection off your protective daylight/UV fliter or from a internal reflection from one of the lens elements (your nikon lens will invariably be made of a col...
