My camera is a Canon 1100D.
Yup I will be bring a tripod along.

Hopefully can do some time lapse photography if the skies are good. :)

Beginner advice needed for night sky shots

Hi all I would like to take some sky shots during my trip in mid Dec. I have a entry level DSLR with a 17-55mm lens. Although there is a post on the guide to max exposure to avoid star trails, can anyone advise me what is the ideal F-stop and ISO to use for reasonable level of sharpness and acceptab...

Where is Sky park @ rooftop? Pinnacle @ duxton. Sorry, it should be Sky bridge. If they do not put turnstiles there I surely would whack a dob or something. There is going to be a similar one at Strathmore ave/Queenstown, 47 storeys...HDB. Skyville. Edit- sorry i think Skyville is not that suitable...

just on looking out from my window which is directly facing south... i staying quite central and have almost an unblock 180 view, horizon upwards from east to west, but the light pollution is pretty bad :( i think most of the 'actions' or darker skies are higher up/overhead but there are limitations...

i bought 1 months ago but yet to use it for night viewing, only did some terrestrial viewing in the daytime and the images were sharp and clear. it is currently underutilized now but I think i will be bz with it when I move over to my new place with superb unblock views in Jul 11. :)

nah that time me and Junming encounter some1 who contact the police and ask us what we are doing with our telescope.. and then after that ask us to leave.. zzz I was like wtf lo wanted to shoot him back but dun wan la dun tio dai ji better lol i hope we wont come to a stage whereby we need to apply...
