Re: Orion's Belt and Neighboring Nebulae

Here's an old Ha image of M42 I tool last year with the ASI1600MM, with improved processing to further enhance the nebulosity. Re: Medium-wide fields 2020

I was indeed hesite to go out to shoot, coz very tired after a days work. But the clear skies were not to miss. Back home processing the sub exposures and found out I made a mistake. I should have used dithering (either manual or auto) to mitigate the terrible walking noise patterns from my poor M5...

Re: Orion's Belt and Neighboring Nebulae

Wow...impressive especially you managed to catch the faint Horsehead in the same frame :) Thanks! Super stoked to get the horsehead too, all credits to the samyang 135mm f2 lens, sucks in so much light. Using the same data set but with 2x drizzle, I also did a heavily cropped image of M42. https://...

Haha yes, i'm quite happy with it. Except the fact that image acquisition software doesn't support Sony cameras. I'm considering getting a modded nikon.

Looked like both of us were doing the same thing last night!
Very nice pics from last night, especially M45 and the hyades cluster. Great work!

Re: Medium-wide fields of Milky Way 2020

Quite a good amount of nebulosity in both M16 and M17. I can see a bit of the pillars of creation in the eagle nebula.
The mild purple fringing around the stars can be easily fixed in Lightroom.
