The next public stargazing talk is titled "How to Choose a Telescope and Binocular".

Admission is free. No pre-registration required. Late-comers welcomed!

Weather permitting, live stargazing during/after the talk. Come see Jupiter, Moon, star clusters and nebula through telescopes! If I can fix my Gakken Home Planetarium in time, perhaps a live demo inside the library. :)

Weather permitting, live stargazing after tonight's library talk will be conducted at open grounds outside Courts Toa Payoh (near residential block 192 along Lorong 6 Toa Payoh).

From the library, turn left and left after the main entrance, you will see the durian store. Walk all the way down along that straight pathway.

@qwertified Thanks for your well wishes. We had an AMAZING session!

Kudos to everyone who came for the talk and live stargazing. Jupiter and Moon put on a great show though a range of telescopes. But of course, everyone also wanted to look through the huge BAZOOKA! Whatever magic filter James was using was working, I did not notice any false colour while looking at the gorgeous Jupiter with well defined cloud bands.

Another full house crowd of appreciative audience. Totally worth the time and energy spent in preparing for the talk as well as talking with a sore throat. So happy for some of the participants who finally saw Jupiter after failing to do so for the previous talks due to poor weather. Perseverance and faith was rewarded last night despite the rain in the afternoon! We had a nice supper to reward ourselves for a job well done. After feeling so much happy positive energy from the sidewalk, the food seems to taste extra delicious! :)

Hi Gary
Sorry I missed it again. Did you manage to show your new Gakken during the talk? That would have been awesome for those present..!
Good session from your photos...keep it up! :)

Wow that is an awesome crowd man!

Maybe next time Gary you do a little attendence taking, see how many people viewed through the scopes and such? Then can treat this like business: more customers (viewers), more profit! (satisfaction that others saw through a telescope!). Haha. :D
Thanks.
