ECP Parkland Green Public Stargazing (Tomorrow! 23 Feb 2018)

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Some of us will be deploying our telescopes for a public stargazing session at East Coast Park tomorrow evening, in lieu of the recent enthusiastic weather trend (fingers crossed!). The site will be at Parkland Green huge field, opposite Parkway Parade Shopping Mall (see map below - where the black 'telescope' icon is). There is a carpark near to the site, as well as eateries and cafes (Starbucks, etc). Toilet facilities are within the site as well. The area is big enough to house many telescopes and people, so bring out all your optical guns (big and small)!

Venue: East Coast Park - Parkland Green field (opposite Parkway Parade)
Date: 23rd Feb 2018 (Friday)
Time: 7:30PM onwards

Site Geographic Coordinates: 1.299426, 103.907479

For Telescope Owners: There is no electricity on-site. Please bring your own battery supplies if required.

Thanks and see you soon! Clear Skies!!

Hope it was a good session! Wanted to drop by but last minute could not... Thanks for organising such events and keeping the passion alive to a new generation of astronomers!
