Meteors collection

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Meteors collection

Post by looyaa »

Some meteor shots to share. Taken in Singapore. Despite "killing" quite a fair bit of shutter count on my dslr to shoot meteors, the "rate of return" were far and few. Light pollution definitely plays a part in washing out the dimmer meteors.

A small sporadic meteor photographed during my first attempt to shoot Perseid meteors

My first meteor seen and photographed. It looks faint on shot but it was actually very bright and extremely fast visually. Taken during 2013 Perseid meteor shower watch session at Bishan Park organised by Gary & Dave.

Geminid meteor captured near its radiant point near Castor

My 2nd meteor seen and photographed. Was at East Coast Carpark D1 and managed to see two Geminid meteors despite the bright moon. But clouds rolled in to cover the entire sky within 30 minutes of setting up to shoot

Hope to add more to this thread when the next meteor shower comes.

Thanks for viewing!
