CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

NGC6992 Eastern Veil Nebula

Post by rifleman175 »

The Eastern Veil Nebula is part of a supernova remnant known as the Cygnus Loop, which is formed as the shock waves from the exploded blue supergiant star crashed into neighbouring dense interstellar medium, heating the gases to ionisation. This nebula shines brightly in Ha and OIII, and makes an excellent photographic target in Cygnus.
