Finally! I managed to login. I tried deleting the cookies and it worked. But I try not to do that as I visit many websites daily that require passwords and it would be a hassle to do that every time just to get in to Singastro.

So I tried something new:

1. Close your web browser and restart. Sometimes this will just work.

2. If not, log into another website with cookies, e.g. Sgfunds.

3. Close web browser again and restart.

It worked for me.

Try ccleaner; it does allow you to specify the cookies to 'keep', while deleting the rest. It clears other junk as well.

Thanks for the update. It seems that deleting all old Singastro cookies is the best bet for those having log-in issues.

Hi, would appreciate if someone could tell me what cookies have to do with the log-in problems? i.e. What's a cookie and why does it cause such problems. Tks.

(If cookies are so troublesome, we should call the Children's Television Workshop and get the Cookie Monster to munch them all up. What a mess that would leave. Ha!)

Finally managed to log in today - first time since May 9. I gave up for a few weeks, but tried again tonight - i was successful on 3rd attempt.

Details:

Web browser IE
Service provider AOL
Whether proxy server is set don't know
Whether auto log-in "remember me"

Go well!

Hi Jeremy,
Welcome back! [smilie=bye2.gif]
Its been a while since we heard from you.
Just ignore that. I occasionally get it too. But just in case, if I do not see any posts from you in the next few days, I will ask CC to check.
Go well!

Hi Jeremy I just checked and for some unknown reason you were once (or more times) blocked by IP address. Otherwise, your account looks fine. If you still have problems logging in, drop me a mail at acheechi@dso.org.sg
