Processing the images really help me understand the true features of the Milky Way. And in this case, it uncovered new details not visible in my last attempt at Desaru. (8x13s beats the 6x30s thanks to the darker sky).
Nice. I have not been to this place, Tg Leman.
I was at Kampung Mawar (Mersing) end May 2022.

Went on a multi-family tour to the Malaysia penisula. Only the first morning was fruitful, seeing me exploring a deserted dark place. It was really a surreal experience, with full moon illuminating the sky and the landscape and creating magical effects. And I took a hour+ going up and down a small hill to take selfie pictures. A lot of failures but I ended up getting some surreal imagery that I would never have imagined before.

Nice shot! Where did you take this? I am wondering if Bedok Jetty at ECP would be a good location...
Lower Seletar Reservoir Park. Saving for the light dome created by the Johor Pengerang Petrochemical plant, it provides a nice eastward view free of direct artificial lights.

I am always wary of direct artificial lights that would easily ruin a nightscape image, and you know the Sg straits is full of big ships .....annoying ...

A road trip in the wee hours for catching the planets-moon formation before sunrise. The weather was miserable but turned better in the twilight.

The vertorama image saw my painstaking effort in image processing. But the ultra wide angle after the stitching lends somewhat dramatic clouds.

Bonus! A shooting star!

Didn't leave home this morning for the celestial show -- a pity. But managed to capture the vista of packed celestial objects of interest.

(Foreground borrowed from yesterday's shooting in the wild)

Another 1% phase crescent moon -- not something accessible every month.

But I feel like the 2%~4% moon is more pleasing visually.

Sorry guys, I went for a night trip to Tg Leman again -- meaning I got a lot of nightscape and astrophoto images

I picked a few easy shots for a sample.
