Much-Talked about Orion Apo price now increased!

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Much-Talked about Orion Apo price now increased!

Even with the back order, the Chinese are getting a bigger bonus as price is now raised to $499..!

I wonder if Vincent Snr has received his ? He has been awfully quiet. I suspect it must have arrived already and caused the cloudy skies these days, so he is laying low, so as not to take the blame....

how, vince?

Hi rich,

Nah, decided not to get it. It's too long....I need something much shorter.

Is S$1100 shipped a good price to pay for this scope?

I guess you recognise the C8 with the silly weights in front :)

As you can see this is my 2nd post, so I'm pretty new around here.
How's your kids, hope everything is fine with you & family.

say...are you the same Jeff who sold me my ETX90?? if you are, welcome back to the mainstream....unlike Kay Heem, I don't recognise the scope..I thought you had a Manfrotto when I was buying your scope?

in anycase, you coming back is good news for ETX users who wants to know how to collimate their scopes from THE MAN who did it!! 8)

cheers

If its insured air mail, I would think so. The scope is now selling for US$499 or close to S$900. $200 shipping seems reasonable.....unless someone begs to differ?

BTW, there is a review of this refractor in the new issue of Sky & Telescope.
Check it out!

Thought S$1100 by insured airmail would be a reasonable price too. Especially since this scope has been winning rave reviews with its APO performance at a very reasonable price. :)

They still don't actually (not even a screw =P ). You need to go through a US based 3rd party if you want any of their stuff.
