Ok, how about:

1) Do you think there should be another one organised for this year?

2) Do you think it is dissapointing that only 28 people voted?

:):)
Cheers,
Chris

Yes! Should organize at least once a year. Yes! We should have got more people on 600+ members.

the astro community is relatively small and from that pool, the number of astro-imagers is even smaller but compared with the number of active posters here, the 28 entries is a credible effort. Remember its the quality and not the quantity.

Yes, every year brings new surprises. We could condense the categories even further though, so that there are more entries per category. Vendors willing to sponsor something? A prize might be the thing to inspire more entries

2) Do you think it is dissapointing that only 28 people voted?

I guess there are not many really regular people. 28 is few, but then again most of our 600 members are lurkers.. We could try to do more things that they can participate, to increase the regular member count.. but 28 is a commendable effort. Keep it up, and one day it might be 1000 :)

I meant only 28 people voted... haha ... that's all we have on Singastro! :P  :(

But oh well, :) Hope to have all your support and we'll just keep trying to improve and welcome more people.

Cheers,
Chris

Yes, like what zong mentioned we may need something extra to motivate more submission.

2) Do you think it is dissapointing that only 28 people voted?

Yes, a bit too low, but than this is just the 1st try. May be the webpage should auto start with the voting page and member who has yet to vote will need to do so before they can get into the forum. Member should take it as if they are voting ordinary photos, how nice is each picture and nothing technical about it.

Listing the names of the ppl that has voted may encourage others to vote as well.

Each day sees about 50 registered members visiting the forums, so 28 votes is on the low side...
