Hi guys
Thanks for the suggestions. Yes those would be really neat features to have. Some other nice features may include sighting predictions for the hubble space telescope & the international space station, summaries of meteor showers and highlights of the night sky. However, the forums is essentially a place that has been created for the astro community in Singapore and around the world to interact with one another. Its run by volunteers with limited time and resources.
There are already many websites that implement some of the nice features. You can try
-www.heavens-above.com
and many more. They are just a google and a click away!
cheers

As what Acc had mention, this forum is run purely by volunteers and we depend on kind members for their donation to make this forum possible.
With limited resource, our priority will be making sure the forum can be easily access under a reasonable response time by all our members. To achieve this, a simple forum will help the server to cope with the increasing load/request, so that all our member can access our forum easily and faster regardless of their internet access speed.
Anyway, there are a lots of website and free software that can provide information that mention in the suggestion. Most of the links are in the SingAstroWiki - http://www.singastro.org/web/mediawiki/index.php/Links So just go there and find the website you are interested in and place a bookmark on it for easy access in the future.
By the way, for those who got the knowledge, please help to contribute building the SingAstroWiki when your are free. This make SingAstro not just a forum, but also a place where we share our knowledge and passion on Astronomy.
Thanks and have a nice day.
