My first DSO - m15

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

My first DSO - m15

Post by chuang »

Hey guys,

Took 8 x 10sec 30 min ago. Stacked using DSS with 6 darks. First try like not too bad, focused using liveview. Canon 450 through vixen 80ed on sphinx, unguided, no drift alignment done (too lazy).

WOW, chuang, your stars are perfect pinpoints!!!

Well done considering it is unguided and no alignment [smilie=good-job.gif]
Focus looks excellent too.

Nice work :)
Cheers, Ken :D

Hey thank you Dragon Man.

I will give it another shot once I get a reticle finder to do drift alignment. If not I will have to do it with my camera LiveView function. The sphinx mount has been very impressive so far. Accurate tracking and GOTOs!
