C6 SCT, Astro Tech AT6RC and Refractor 120ED?
Re: C6 SCT, Astro Tech AT6RC and Refractor 120ED?
My C8 don’t perform well for astrophotography but perform well for visual so I bought a Meade sct ota from Singastro member. Here is the pic of M31 Galaxy. It can keep the focus and collimation very well. it took nearly 2hr exposure with F/3.3 reducer, CCD is too small so it don’t show full galaxy. its only 32 X 26 arc min.

Just wondering...the Meade 8" is faster in terms of f/ratio?

No, some Meade Focuser and contrast coating is much better than C8. This is good for astrophotography.
