Re: Observing Jupiter
Jupiter's Great "Red" Spot visible from about 5:00am tmr early morning Sat 24 Aug. The longer you can keep observing, the higher Jupiter will be in the sky, the closer the GRS will move towards its center (e.g. around 6:30am).
Good luck to all the overnight or early bird stargazers!

Re: Observing Jupiter
If you see only 3 instead of 4 moons of Jupiter early tmr morning 25 Aug from SG, do not panic! Ganymede went "hiding" behind Jupiter.

GRS transit tomorrow morning Tuesday 3 Sept 2013 at 7:06am (credit: Sky&Tel javascript)
Weather permitting, even at 6:30am when the sky is still relatively dark, GRS is positioned at about 1/3 into the disc of Jupiter.

Re: Observing Jupiter
Shadow of Europa moving across Jupiter tomorrow early morning 21/9. From 3:36am - 6:11am.
Visible from Singapore from start to finish! Jupiter rises at 2:15am tomorrow.
GRS (transit 2:24am) should be visible off-centre when Jupiter is still low in the horizon. If the sky is still dark and clear enough by 7:00am and onwards, may be able to see the beginning of Io's shadow transit.
