I was quite intrigued by this idea of using a cable release on a digital camera:
It probably screws into the tripod thread below the camera.
Does anyone have any idea where I can make such a custom fit metal bracket?
Should be no problem buying and attaching a cable release. Instant digital camera cable release!
Cable release for digital camera?

Hi,
I got the remote control for coolpix 4500... quite useful, but it got one disadvantage compare with normal cable release... it cannot press and lock. So unlike normal cable release, you need to press and hold for one minute if you want one minute of exposure...
Have a nice day.
