The Sun in three wavelengths - Solar surface in whitelight; lower atomosphere in Calcium-K and upper atmosphere in H-Alpha
The following close-ups in the Sun's upper atmosphere are taken with a H-Alpha etalon fitted onto a Celestron 6" achromat:

Eh, how did you even managed to capture the 6th & 7th images!!!
Its as if like you were peering out through a window onboard a NASA spacecraft! 0_0

Very nice!
Wow, you have a CaK filter? Are you using a Daystar Quark or similar for your HA Eatalon?

Valdric - Picture 6 and 7 were taken with Gamma turned up higher to catch the prominence.
Here is another rendition of the prominence and the surface plasma fibrils
Cloud_Cover - Yes, the CAK image was taken with a Lunt 50mm CAK scope. The full disk H-Alpha images were taken with a Solarscope 50mm H-Alpha etalon (double stacked) on a Borg 76mm refractor. The close-ups were taken with a Solarscope 100mm H-Alpha single etalon on a Celestron 6" refractor.

Hi Alfred
Nice pic.Yes solar activities are low nowadays and even with the recent 150000km sunspot activities
were low. This will continue in the yrs to come. However expect a active spot to shot
up ....around 2017....before this cycle 24
ends. Thanks for sharing the nice photos

I have the same opinion as you that there may be active spots even though the present solar maxima is coming to an end. I have also got myself ready for solar minima and will switch to high resolution imaging to get to the interesting fibrils. Besides increasing aperture to 150mm, I will also be putting an D-ERF upfront of the refractor and putting the H-Alpha etalon at the focuser end. Will post results when the equipment is ready. Will also be doing high resolution white light by putting a D-ERF on a 150mm refractor with a Herschel wedge at the focuser end.
Cheers.
Alfred

Should still have several opportunities to snap some CMEs in the meantime!
Thanks.
