I must say that is a very nice idea! It would be more interesting to see pictures of scopes instead of mars! :P

The first prize will be > $100!, considering that the PST will sell for more than $600.

A good chance to try our hand at drawing at the eyepiece!

Some Clarification on the Prizes:

The final bidding price for the PST is S$770 (Starfinder).
Monetary Prizes will be Replaced with Book value prizes valued at the following ratio :-

1st Prize ==== (770x0.3)/6 * 3 = S$ 115.50
2nd Prize ==== (770x0.3)/6 * 2 = S$ 70.00
3rd Prize ==== (770x0.3)/6 * 3 = S$ 35.00

Winners can select any available books from Amazon online (equivalent cost in Sing $ w/o freight) and we will place order for you.

Hi all,
While the judges are tallying up the submissions, just an announcement that in view the sale of the PST fell through, the top 3 prizes for the contest which was based on the sale price of the scope will be on hold pending its eventual sale.
Hence, only winners of the consolation prizes will get their Planisphere first.

Do note....keep your fingers crossed !

cheers

Hi Richard,

Just to clarify, the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes still remained at 30% of the final PST bidded price of S$770 whether it will be sold eventually.
So, you can annouce the winner now :lol:
